Mia Brahe-Pedersen of Lake Oswego got two opportunities to run against the top varsity boys at the Summit Invitational in Bend on Saturday and enjoyed spectacular results in the 100 meters and 200. In the 100 meters, Brahe-Pedersen was clocked in a wind-legal time of 11.08 seconds, which moved her to No. 3 on the all-time list behind Briana Williams and Candace Hill. Hours later, it began to hail minutes before Brahe-Pedersen took the track in the 200 meters and it hailed throughout the race with temperatures dropping into the low 40s. Brahe-Pedersen took third in a personal best and wind-legal time of 22.61 seconds, becoming the seventh-fastest high school girl.
